Sarah married William D Watson (1845-1926) September 30th 1868 in Decatur Co, Indiana.

Sarah met and married William Watson shortly after arriving in Indiana. Sarah was 16 at the time of the marriage, William was 23. William was a farm hand, a day laborer by trade. The couple resided in the home of their daughter Margaret and her husband for the last 20 years of their life.
