Finding Faulkner: The Progeny | Robert Boak {Gen 4}


It started, as good quests always do, with a family tale.


Robert Boak (Achsah, Wm Bull, James, William) was born in Scotchtown, Orange Co, New York December 9th 1806, to parents Achsah Faulkner and Jame Boak.

Robert married Mary C Youngblood (1808-1880) about 1841 in Orange Co, New York.

The couple had at least three children: all born Wallkill, Orange Co, New York

  • Jacob Y Boak b. 2 Jun 1842 d. 5 Aug 1875 never married
  • John 'J B' Boak b. 3 Dec 1844 d. 6 Dec 1864  never married
  • Robert N Boak b. 11 Apr 1848 d. 11 Mar 1916 m. Zella Hayden no issue


Robert Boak spent his entire life in and around Wallkill, Orange Co, New York. He died May 20th 1881 and is buried in the family plot in Circleville Cemetery, just outside Wallkill in Orange Co, New York. His wife Mary Youngblood Boak died February 20th 1880 and is buried with her husband and their three sons.
