Finding Faulkner: The Progeny | Nelson Bush Sr {Gen 4}

It started, as good quests always do, with a family tale.

Nelson Bush Sr (Sarah, Wm Bull, James, William) was born in Newfield, Thompkins Co, New York August 20th 1826, to parents Sarah Faulkner and Wm T Bush Jr.

Nelson married (1) Margaret DeReamer (1828-1879) about 1850. He married (2) Harriet "Hattie" Crawford (1852-1932) sometime in 1882.


Nelson and Margaret had at least one child:

• William Elliot Bush b. 1851 d. 1935 m. Frances Cox no issue

Nelson and Hattie had at least four children:

• Charles Wynans Bush b. 1883 d. 1897  
• Minnie Bush b. 1886 d. 1969 m. George Henry Briggs
• Nelson Bush Jr b. 1888 d. 1971 m. Edith Beach
• Magdalena H Bush b. 1895 d. 1977 m. (1) Nelson San Soucie (2) Warren G Teeter

Nelson Bush Sr was a farmer in Tompkins Co, New York. He died November 20th 1909 and is buried in the Newfield Village Cemetery in Newfield, Tompkins Co, New York. Margaret DeReamer Bush died July 11th 1879 and is buried next to her husband Nelson. Hattie Crawford Bush died September 28th 1932 in Newfield, Tompkins Co, New York, burial location is unknown.
