Finding Faulkner: The Progeny | Martha Boak {Gen 4}


It started, as good quests always do, with a family tale.


Martha Boak (Achsah, Wm Bull, James, William) was born in Scotchtown, Orange Co, New York, August 14th 1810, to parents Achsah Faulkner and Jame Boak.

Martha married John Hall Youngblood (1805-1871) about 1842 most likely in Orange Co, New York.

The couple had at least four children: all born Wallkill, Orange Co, New York

  • Mary C Youngblood b. abt 1842 d. 22 Jul 1873 never married
  • Arminda E Youngblood b. 4 Sep 1845 d. 20 Apr 1913 m. John B Mould no issue
  • Jacob B Youngblood b. abt 1848 d. 16 Apr 1898 twin of James - never married
  • James B Youngblood b. abt 1848 d. 23 Mar 1870 twin of Jacob - never married


Martha Boak Youngblood lived her entire life in and around Wallkill, Orange Co, New York. She died December 23rd 1877 and is buried in the Brick Church Cemetery in Montgomery, Orange Co, New York. Her husband John H Youngblood died January 22nd 1871 and is buried alongside his wife and all four of their children.
